Summary
Welcome to a new series about Nutrition! š„³š„ Now, before we dive in, let me be clear: I'm not a nutritionist, nor do I hold any authority in this field. I'm just a 40-year-old woman (wife & mom) sharing my experience with you. Having lived across various cultures and struggled with low self-confidence for much of my life, I've spent decades navigating my relationship with food. I started dieting at the tender age of 10, believing I would never be "good enough." Food often became a substitute for many things I didn't understand at the time... Today, Iām convinced that every experiment and every moment of hurt has led me to a more profound understanding of health and well-being. This channel is primarily for me, but I hope it resonates with at least one other person out there. In a world where the U.S. weight loss market is valued at over $21 billion, we're bombarded with messages urging us to spend money on weight loss programs, meal plans, pills, and miracle teas. I've bought into that for far too long, and to some extent, I still do. However, my intentions have shifted. I'm no longer focusing solely on weight loss; instead, I'm committed to embracing a healthier lifestyle. For me, weight loss is a pleasant side effect of prioritizing my health. This shift in perspective is everything. Sending you love! Want to follow me on instagram? https://www.instagram.com/joelle.smaniotto/
