Summary

After learning of my dear friend’s passing, I chose to share my raw, unfolding grief with you because I believe loss is a universal yet deeply personal journey. What I want to highlight is that there is no rulebook for how to grieve. While cultural or societal norms may shape expectations, I’ve found that honoring your body’s needs... whether through laughter, tears, solitude, or movement - is what matters most. Grief isn’t linear. You might rage, laugh, or shut down. You might need quiet or community. Whatever you choose, it’s valid. Your body is your compass. If you’re grieving, know there’s no “should.” Listen to what feels supportive in each moment. Your way is sacred, and love endures even in loss. You’re not alone.
