Summary
This week, authorities in New Mexico are continuing their investigation into the disappearance of retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. William "Neil" McCasland, and as the investigation enters its third week, officials say there have been no confirmed sightings of McCasland and few significant leads regarding his whereabouts. McCasland, 68, is a former commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory whose career placed him at the center of some of the U.S. military's most sensitive science and technology programs. However, it was the missing official's brief associations with the rock guitarist Tom DeLonge beginning in 2016 that led to widespread speculations within the UFO community about what McCasland may have known about some of America's most intriguing secrets.
