Summary
This episode was really fun to film, as I get to explore the changes to our central nervous system due to strength training as I do a review on, “Corticospinal Responses following strength training: a systematic review and meta analysis”. Throughout this we find out that resistance training primarily decreases inhibition - releasing the “brakes” on our neuromuscular system! If you like this type of episode, please let me know. I would love to dive into the literature more often here and share findings to relate them to powerlifting!
