Summary
Welcome back beautiful friend! Do you find yourself craving love and connection while simultaneously fearing intimacy and vulnerability? Do relationships feel emotionally exhausting, confusing, or unpredictable? In this episode, we’re diving deep into disorganized attachment—also known as fearful-avoidant attachment—and how unresolved trauma can impact the way we connect with others, ourselves, and God. Disorganized attachment often develops when the people who were supposed to provide safety and comfort were also a source of fear, inconsistency, neglect, or emotional pain. As a result, the nervous system learns to associate connection with danger, creating a painful cycle of longing for love while simultaneously fearing it. Together we’ll explore how trauma affects the nervous system, why survival responses show up in relationships, and how God can begin healing deep attachment wounds. You’ll learn practical tools for emotional regulation, renewing your mind with Scripture, and creating safety in both your body and your relationships. Most importantly, you’ll discover that your attachment wounds do not define you. Through Christ, healing is possible, peace is possible, and secure connection is possible. 📖 1 Corinthians 14:33 “For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.” 📖 Romans 8:38-39 “Nothing can separate us from the love of God.” 📖 Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” 📖 Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you.” If this episode encouraged you, take a moment to subscribe, leave a review, and share it with a friend.
