You’d wait days, maybe weeks, for the mail carrier to bring it to your door. When it finally arrived, you’d hold that envelope. You’d feel the weight of it. You’d look at the handwriting, the slant of the letters, the way they looped the 'g's. And when you finally opened it, you weren't just reading words. You were hearing a voice. You were feeling the warmth of the person who had taken the time, the effort, and the love to send it across the miles. Now, I want to tell you that the Bible, the Holy Scriptures, is God’s own letter to us. It’s not a quick text message. It’s not a fleeting thought.
