Summary
In this episode, I opened with a reflection on how easy it is for people entering the patriot and legal space to get lost in confusion, false assumptions, and what my late friend Ron Brown used to call “guru hopping.” Using a recent caller’s tax court paperwork as an example, I walked through why procedure, jurisdiction, and notice matter more than slogans or recycled theories. The key takeaway was simple: before anyone celebrates a court dismissal as some grand victory, we need to understand what actually triggered the case, what jurisdiction was invoked, and whether the paperwork proves what people think it proves. Once Darryl joined me, we shifted into the deeper issue we had planned to cover: how sovereignty, jurisdiction, and municipal power operate in everyday life. We connected the dots between federal, territorial, and municipal jurisdictions, talked through the role of the Uniform Commercial Code, and contrasted it with older manorial concepts that still echo through modern enforcement. From there, we brought it back down to practical action at the county level—why status, standing, and capacity have to be backed by consistent conduct, and why filing and publishing affidavits locally can matter if you want your position recognized where you actually live.
