(3:00) An article reviews what does and doesn't work for people when it comes to exercise. (15:00) Two groups were studied based on walking: 75 minutes once a week or 75 minutes over three days. The third group only participated in wellness discussions. Unfortunately, the takeaway people will cling to isn't particularly beneficial. (21:00) Sitting is the new smoking. A sedentary lifestyle is a deteriorating one. (23:00) Our bodies were meant to move! Your body doesn't know what day of the week it is; it just needs to know if you're doing something positive or negative to it that day. Sleep deprivation can affect cognitive function; however, according to one study, 20 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise performs as well as a 90-minute nap when you are sleep-deprived.
