E183 You Have To Feel It To Heal It - The Pain Won't Disappear On Its Own Hi Friends, In this episode I talk about: Have you ever been to a therapy session and all they get you to do is talk over and over about the painful experiences of your past? That's something that really frustrated me when I was in therapy because I didn't want to talk about the same things all the time, but the point wasn't reliving the stories, the point was allowing myself to feel the emotions that I refused to feel when I was going through it, because I was in survival mode and I wasn't in a safe enough place yet to allow myself to feel. Once we are safe to feel it's important that we dig up that chest of buried emotions and allow ourselves to feel, to be angry about it, to be hurt, so that we can move on and stop carrying the load.
