So real talk, I was in Division 5 before the new eFootball update came. Every time Konami drops a big update they reset people, and this time they took me 2 steps down. So from Division 5 I got pushed all the way to Division 7. I was vexed at first because I’ve been grinding and climbing, but then I just told myself to use it to my advantage. Get some easy wins, stack coins, stack GP, and build momentum to climb back up. This match vs Barcelona AI was exactly that, a statement game to remind myself that I still ball regardless of the division. Plus the rewards for smashing AI are actually decent when you’re trying to rebuild your squad. The match was in the eFootball League and I was playing as G in that bright green and yellow kit against Barcelona. By 16:18 it was already 2-0 and the game was showing "Wayne Rooney Today's Goals: 1" with his 97 rated card on the side of the screen. Rooney scored early and did that celebration where he grabs his head and shouts, then the manager on the sideline went wild with both arms in the air like we just won a trophy. The stadium was packed, the lights were bright, and you could tell from the first 10 minutes that Barca were not ready.
