Summary
In this sermon, I emphasizing the importance of prayer in times of fear and uncertainty. I shared a personal testimony about a time when my son, Alex, had a serious accident, one of the most terrifying experiences in my life as a parent. This incident led me to reflect on the nature of God's deliverance and how it doesn't always align with our expectations or desires. I stressed that God's deliverance isn't about what we desire, but what God desires for us, so that He can accomplish through us the awe and wonder of what it means to glorify God. In the second part of the sermon, I delved deeper into the concept of deliverance, emphasizing that God doesn't specify how He will deliver us. I used the story of my son's accident to illustrate this point. I emphasized that even if the outcome had been different, it wouldn't mean that God hadn't delivered us. I concluded the sermon by encouraging the congregation to trust in God's deliverance, even if it doesn't fit our idea of deliverance.
