Summary
"I always thought she would walk through the door." In late December 1976, a camper was spending time down in the Florida Keys. He was camping in an area known as the rock pit alongside US Route 1 on Grassy Key, a limestone quarry site used by campers and party-goers alike. While there, though, he was approached by a man he later described as a "hippie-type," who offered to show him a decomposing human body for a quarter. The camper declined and called the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. On December 30th, Detective Richard Roth was dispatched to investigate. Following the camper's directions, he made his way into the heavily wooded area near the rock pit. There, he found bones...
