Summary
At 11pm on the night of November 16, 1996, William “Bill” Foster, his wife Peggy (both age 55) and two friends drove northbound along Highway 601 near Yadkinville, North Carolina. Ahead of them a strange light appeared ahead of them over the highway. It looked like a large plane was going to land on the highway. As they drove closer, they saw instead that it was a massive black triangular-shaped craft. Moments later, it hovered in perfect silence less than fifty feet overhead. For the next few minutes, all four of them watched the craft in astonishment. Finally, it slowly glided off to the left and disappeared into the distance. They all realized that they had seen a UFO. Driving home, Bill and Peggy were puzzled to see that the clock read 2am. A drive that should’ve taken no more than two hours somehow took four. They were missing two hours of time. At the time, they didn’t think much about it and just continued on with their lives. But a few years later, a relative asked Bill and Peggy to share their UFO story. Only then did they realize that they could not account for the missing two hours. Bill began researching the subject and soon discovered what the missing time might mean: that they could have been taken onboard the craft and not remember it. Both Bill and Peggy decided to try hypnosis. The other couple refused to talk about the encounter. Under hypnosis, Bill and Peggy recalled that as they slowed down to gaze in wonder at the massive craft, their car rose up off the road and up inside the giant UFO. After two years of hypnotic regression therapy, the whole story emerged.
