Summary

People who survive near-death experiences come back changed in ways that science can document but cannot explain. Their dream lives transform permanently. Dream recall, vividness, lucidity, and out-of-body experiences during sleep all increase dramatically. And precognitive dreams appear at rates that dwarf every control group, including people who nearly died without having the NDE itself. It wasn't the trauma. It was specifically the experience that altered something in how these people relate to the dreaming state, and it doesn't fade. In this episode of Troubled Minds Radio, we follow the research into its deepest implications. The brain maintains a hard partition between waking and dreaming consciousness for evolutionary reasons: the separation is a survival mechanism, not a limitation, the thing that makes functional physical life possible. The NDE is the involuntary removal of that mechanism. The wall comes down, the other side floods in, and it never fully seals again. 🔗 Read the blurb: https://troubledminds.substack.com/p/permanent-residents-the-other-side 📡 Troubled Minds Radio Website: https://troubledminds.org Twitter: @TroubledMinds If you are having a mental health crisis and need immediate help, please go to https://troubledminds.org/help/ and call somebody right now.
