Summary

Imagine if Adam Sandler made a movie simply to try and get two friends back together. Imagine if Rob Schneider was one of those guys. And now imagine that the movie doesn’t totally suck. The movie you’ve just created in your head is Dennis Dugan’s 2006 Sports Comedy: The Benchwarmers. A heartwarming tale featuring Schneider, in a rare cinematic move for him, as a straight man against Napoleon Dynamite’s Jon Heder and the people’s champion David Spade. The boiz did not hate this one. In fact, it’s not only a serviceable comedy movie that gives millennials a hit of nostalgia, there are a number of genuine laugh lines. Crazy to think what Rob was capable of in his prime. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
