Summary
Every once in awhile a game comes along that really pushes novelty and innovation. Arc Raiders is one of those games, and I didn't even LIKE it the first 10 or so hours of gameplay, and almost quit it entirely! Since, I've really embraced the mechanics and the world in which it resides. The visuals are stunning, but more importantly (to me!) the music and sound design have repeatedly immersed me in this post apocalyptic world. Kelly of Dork Tales and I discuss the nature of games, specifically this one, on our latest podcast together. This is an excerpt of that discussion.
