Summary
Luna stands on the stage of the Bleecker Street theater, the memory of holding her mother's hand still warm in her palm. The 1889 bargain has been rewritten but unbroken—the curse still holds. The ghost-light flickers, and Clara's ghost leads Luna to a new door that smells of rain, opening onto a hallway of her own childhood photographs. Each frame shows Luna aging backward, and at the far end, a door painted with her birth date. Luna realizes the curse has a final clause: she must enter the moment before her mother's promise was made to truly break it.
