The duo then pivots through Bishop’s journey from being a standout running back at the high school ranks to becoming a walk-on for Tennessee Football. Bishop recalls how he felt like he was undervalued coming out of the high school ranks, especially after rushing for 8,347 yards and 102 touchdowns at Karns High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. Bishop explains how important it was to learn from VFL’s Jabari Small, Jaylen Wright, and Dylan Sampson, and how he was able to have a breakout season for the Big Orange in 2025. The Knoxville native also reveals a never-before-told story of how he was able to play against Alabama last season despite not being able to walk earlier in the week in the lead up to the game.
