Summary
Nathan Forrest Winters is a former child actor who was groomed and sexually abused by filmmaker Victor Salva during the production of the 1989 horror film Clownhouse . [ 1 , 2 ] The Case and Conviction The Abuse: Victor Salva befriended Winters' family when the boy was six years old. He began sexually abusing and videotaping Winters when the boy was 12 during the post-production of Clownhouse. [ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 ] The Arrest: In 1988, local authorities discovered videotapes of the abuse alongside commercial child pornography in Salva's possession. [ 1 , 2 ] The Sentence: Salva pled guilty to multiple counts, including lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor under 14 and procuring a child for pornography. He was sentenced to three years in prison but served only 15 months before being paroled.
