To fill in the blanks Iain created a documentary "Entrapment by Design" featuring his work on credit recovery, which led to his arrest in June 2023 by 13 police officers. He was interrogated for 13 hours by FCA officers but was not asked about the need for a financial services license. Iain also had a previous legal battle with the FCA in 2018 over algorithmic trading systems, which he eventually won in the High Court. He moved to Bali and then North Cyprus to avoid jurisdictional issues and potential imprisonment for contempt of court. In this conversation Iain shares his motivation for challenging the system, which evolved from a desire for revenge to a commitment to restoring integrity and transparency, particularly in the mortgage industry.
