Summary
A cold November night in 1987, on a stretch of highway that cuts through the flatlands of Morrison County. Luna pulls into a truck stop that shouldn't be there — the pumps are rusted, the diner windows are dark, but the payphone rings, and keeps ringing, and no one else is around to answer it. What she finds inside is a story about a woman who has been waiting for a phone call for twenty-three years, a cup of coffee that never goes cold, and a radio station that only plays one song. This episode is about loneliness that takes on a shape, about the things we tell ourselves to keep going, and about what happens when you finally pick up the phone.
