Summary
A salvage yard worker named Evelyn finds a locked trunk containing an old film projector. The single reel shows a woman walking down a gravel road at dusk—a road that no longer exists. With each viewing, the woman on screen inches closer to the camera, her expression shifting from distant to aware. When Evelyn tries to locate the road in real life, she finds only a dead end choked with blackberry vines. Soon the woman begins appearing at the edge of Evelyn's property, and the projector starts running on its own. The last image is a hand reaching out. Then a knock at the door.
