Summary
In this episode, I discuss how I first began thinking about investing and ownership. Not from a place of having money, but from wanting more and realizing there had to be a better way. I share how my mindset around Black ownership evolved over time, how I utilized YouTube to begin learning the basics of investing, and why starting small mattered more than trying to be perfect. I reflect on working in college, doing manufacturing one summer, and earning commissions at Sprint. I talk about how taxes, withdrawals, and having to pay things back taught me discipline and forced me to save. Those experiences changed how I looked at money and pushed me toward the stock market in a more intentional way. This episode is about learning through experience, starting where you are, and building a foundation instead of chasing quick wins.
