Summary
In the autumn of 2009, Dr. Harold Marsh, the only dentist in the small town of Milledgeville, Iowa, discovered something he shouldn't have while fixing a leak under his office sink. A human jawbone, still holding teeth, wrapped in a yellowed cloth. The serial numbers etched into the bone led him to a name he recognized: a patient who had died thirty years ago, whose death certificate listed a closed-casket funeral and a cause of death the coroner had refused to write down.
