Before any large building can be built, specialist engineers must design everything that makes it livable: the wiring, the lighting, the ventilation, the plumbing, the fire alarms. This work, called MEP engineering, is a $150 billion global services market that still runs on manual methods, and it routinely takes months per building. Endra, a Stockholm startup founded in October 2024, uses AI to do the repetitive parts automatically, cutting the electrical design of a 500,000-square-foot building from two months to under a day. Backed by a $50 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz that took total funding to roughly $74 million in under two years, the company is now opening offices in New York, San Francisco and London, hiring toward 100 employees, and preparing to launch its electrical module at its Epoch event in Las Vegas on September 14.
