Stemming from problems surrounding stadium ownership, Vancouver Whitecaps were put up for sale last year. Prospecitve local buyers did not feel that the opportunity was beneficial for them. Fast forward to today, and the Whitecaps are under threat from a Las Vegas-based group who are looking to purchase their MLS franchise license and relocate the club.
