Hi & Welcome to The Feng Shui Money Couch where I explore themes around Feng Shui, Wellness and other Woo. During Chaotic times where we cannot control what is happening in the outside world and our only sphere of influence is through our personal energy and our immediate environment, Feng Shui is the perfect tool to turn to! I titled this episode “Invest In Your Nest “ because as a Feng Shui consultant, this is one of my personal mantras. It’s similar in sentiment to Voltaire’s “Paradise is where I live.” Or his other famous quote “Il faut cultiver notre jardin.” Which translates to (“We must cultivate our garden.”) As far as Feng Shui is concerned investing in your home or nest is akin to investing in Gold. The ROI is pretty much guaranteed. If you don’t want to feel like you need a vacation from your life, then do all you can to create your own personal paradise. Covid created a crisis around the importance of home and having our own personal Idaho so to speak. When you can’t hop on a plane at the drop of a dime either because you don’t have the discretionary income or the time of work or there’s a global pandemic, you’re ultimately confronted by your four walls. I encourage my clients to cultivate spaces they love and are fed by. It’s also important for your home to evolve with you so as you grow and change so to does your environment. There’s plenty of environmental psychology and science to support this. Epigenetic’s really drives home the importance of your environment over your genetics from a health perspective. In the words of environmental biologist Bruce Lipton, You change the container, you change the contents. This is for good or ill. The environment dictates the outcome.
