American singer-songwriter Jesse Lynn Madera has unveiled her “back-pocket” brilliant new single, ‘Woke Up in LA’. Drawing on the allure of Los Angeles and looking back at her time in New York, the new release is an intimate exploration of loneliness and revival between two loving partners. ‘Woke Up In LA’ speaks to the loneliness of moving to a new city, leaving all your friends and life behind and not having a support system in place. The feeling of being entirely alone, while surrounded by crowds. The isolation can be so palpable that you wish you were anywhere but here. But you wake up in the morning, in the same place, and start all over again. Musician Madera says: “‘Woke Up In LA’ has been a back-pocket song for over 10 years, waiting for its right time. Jesse will also be making her UK debut supporting legendary musician Colin Blunstone 16-date tour, stopping off at renowned venues such as Stoller Hall in Manchester, Howard Assembly Room in Leeds and closing out in London’s famous Union Chapel.
