Summary
In this episode of the Bulldog Morning Update, we walk through 1 Peter 2:9–10 and are reminded of a powerful truth: in Christ, our identity has been completely transformed. Building on the reality that Christ is the cornerstone, Peter shifts our focus to who we now are because we believe. We are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation, not by heritage or effort, but by the finished work of Christ. What was once reserved for Israel under the Old Covenant is now fulfilled in a people redeemed by His blood and united through faith. This identity carries purpose. We are called out of darkness into His marvelous light so that we may proclaim His praises with both our words and our lives. What God has done in us is meant to be seen through us. We also take time to celebrate members of our school community, share updates from athletics, and highlight what Berean Baptist Academy is truly about. In our Moment of Connection, we address accountability through a New Covenant lens, reframing it not as harshness, but as evidence of God’s ongoing work in shaping us into the image of Christ. This is who we are. Now we live like it.
