Restaking pools ETH security across multiple networks, but the UX hides a compounding chain of trust — base protocol, operator, AVS, and often an LRT — behind a single APY number. When EigenLayer activated slashing in April 2025, many restakers discovered what they’d actually signed up for only after the fact. Interfaces are fragmented across dashboards, explorers, and Discord, with no single view of total exposure. The yield problem is solved; the trust and interface problem isn’t.
