Rather than imposing a single nationwide rule, the Court reaffirmed the role of federalism—allowing voters, legislatures, school boards, and athletic associations to determine policy closer to home. The ruling has reignited conversations about fairness, biological reality, constitutional restraint, and the future of women's sports. Dr. Andrew Fox, priest, organizational culture expert, educator, business leader, and author (including his newest book, Truth in the Age of Applause), is scheduled to join me to discuss why he says the legal decision is only part of the story. The larger question is what it reveals about America's ability to reason through difficult issues without surrendering to ideology, groupthink, or political tribalism. Following last November's victory of Zohran Mamdani as mayor of New York City, democratic-socialism has gained visibility and momentum in the United States. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the country's largest socialist organization, currently with over 116,000 members. The Democratic Socialists of America vaguely describes its philosophy as "a system where ordinary people have a real voice in our workplaces, neighborhoods, and society." The website goes on to say the DSA is working for "single-payer Medicare for All, defunding the police/refunding communities, and the Green New Deal."
