As the U.S.-Iran conflict intensifies with renewed military strikes and rising concerns over the security of the Strait of Hormuz, retired U.S. Marine Corps Colonel William "Burner" Dunn is scheduled to join me once more to provide expert analysis on the evolving crisis. The latest escalation has heightened fears of a broader regional conflict, disrupted global energy markets, and increased concerns about U.S. military operations and regional stability. As the Trump administration rolls out bilateral health partnerships with dozens of countries under its America First Global Health Strategy, it is doing more than restructuring foreign assistance. It is replacing a decades-old model that too often exported ideology instead of improving health. Dr. Alma Golden, a pediatrician, public health expert, and former Senate-confirmed Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Global Health at the U.S. Agency for International Development, she has also served as as Deputy Assistant Secretary and Director of the Office of Population Affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under President George W. Bush and most recently, as Chief Operating Officer of the Institute for Women's Health, where she helped advance evidence-based policies and programs to improve the health and well-being of women and girls around the world.
