Summary
Luna stands in the Beech Street attic, holding the photograph of her grandmother as a child on the day the lamp was first lit. The woman who offered tea is gone. The shadow child waits beside a trunk that wasn't there a moment ago. Inside the trunk, Luna finds a journal written in her grandmother's hand—but the entries are dated after her grandmother's death, and they are addressed to Luna. The journal tells the story of how the lamp was found: not in a shop, not in a house, but in the roots of a sycamore tree that grew through a forgotten grave. Luna reads about the child who dug it up—a girl named Esther, who was her grandmother's sister. The shadow child was Esther. The cycle was never about the lamp or the name. It was about a promise Esther made to the thing that lived in the roots. Luna must decide whether to keep reading or close the book forever. #SycamoreRidge #serializedhorror #Luna #theshadowchild #Esther #thelamplight #BeechStreetattic #thetrunk #grandmothersjournal #thesycamoretree #promise #roots #forgottengrave #atticclocks #photographofEsther #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #folkhorror Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
