Summary

Monday Mass. 7.20.26. In this homily I reflect on the first reading from Micah, where God puts His people on trial and reminds them of everything He's done for them. I talk about how we try to earn God's attention through external things like rituals and good deeds, believing that if we do enough, God will listen — but that's backwards. We do these things because we love God, not to appease Him. I also touch on the lie that God can't see us in our mess, and why the answer isn't to hide our brokenness but to bring it to Him and walk humbly with Him.
