Summary

Tuesday Mass. 6.16.26. In this homily, I walk through the story of King Ahab, Elijah, and what happens when God calls us to account for our sins. Sin is serious — but so is God's mercy. I reflect on the two extremes I see in the Church: those who are so afraid of God they can't approach Him, and those who are so comfortable they've stopped caring. The truth is both-and. God loves us too much to leave us in our sin, and His mercy is always available to those who repent.
