Summary
We all carry expectations. Some are about the big things: the life we thought we’d have, the relationships we hoped would look different, the prayers we expected to be answered another way. Others are found in the ordinary moments, when a conversation doesn’t go as planned, a season changes before we’re ready, or someone we love makes choices we cannot control. The challenge isn’t always what happened. Sometimes it’s learning to let go of how we thought it should have happened. In this episode, we talk about the courage it takes to release our expectations without releasing our faith. Letting go isn’t giving up. It’s choosing to trust God when His plans look different than our own. It’s making peace with what we cannot control while remaining hopeful for what He is still doing. As we loosen our grip on our own understanding, we often discover the freedom, joy, and peace that have been waiting on the other side of surrender.
