Hey Folks! We are back with an episode that isn't a whimsical adventure, so if you were hoping for more of that, wait for next week I guess? We're talking about Surrogacy! The practice of implanting a fertilised egg into a woman, usually a poor woman, who's going to carry it for you so that you can have a baby. This is, in our opinion, a gross practice. We look at what the laws about surrogacy are around the country and around the world, with the context that Australia's surrogacy laws may be subject to change. Do you think it'd be good if you could pay people for this? Then you're not going to enjoy this episode. We then spend a bit of time bullying some of the heinous people interviewed by our news sources for a series of articles about international surrogacy, and the spurious arguments—harm minimisation, bodily autonomy and queer rights—that are used to justify it to the public.
