Summary
In September 2012, 29-year-old Irish woman Jill Meagher was living and working in Melbourne, Australia. After spending an evening with colleagues in the suburb of Brunswick, she began the short walk home. She never made it. Jill’s disappearance sparked a huge search and captured the attention of people across Australia and Ireland. But as investigators pieced together her final movements, CCTV footage would lead them towards a man with a disturbing history, and raise serious questions about how he had been free to walk the streets at all. This week on Seeing Red, we tell the story of Jill Meagher: her life, the investigation into her disappearance, the man responsible for her murder, and the failures surrounding a case that would provoke grief, anger and demands for change across two countries. http://www.youtube.com/@seeingredtruecrimepodcast www.patreon.com/seeingredpodcast https://www.buymeacoffee.com/seeingredtw www.seeingredpodcast.co.uk Theme music arranged and composed by Holly-Jane Shears: www.soundcloud.com/DeadDogInBlackBag Hosted on Acast.
