Summary
In attempt to help Kouri Richins’ evade Life With Out Parole, her defense team brought in self-described “victim’s advocate” Emery Blanchard into Kouri Richins’ sentencing hearing. Blanchard, who has never met Kouri Richins, implored the court to give Richins a “merciful” sentence. Emery Blanchard’s father, John E. Blanchard was sentenced to 25 years to Life for the murder of Emery’s mother Patricia Ann Coon Blanchard. The true story of John Emery Blanchard’s murder and his parole hearing would not have helped Kouri Richins.
