Summary
Respectonomics through the Living Economics platform turns its attention to the destructive consequences of addiction, specifically to debt which is the drug-of choice for governments on a worldwide basis. Frighteningly out of control, these debt-addicts (a.k.a. debtaholics) deny their behaviours, ignore consequences, and trivialise the root causes. The governments’ constituents act as enablers, in much the same way families are blind to an addiction in their own circle. Understanding addiction and its fearsome destruction on self and others is one thing. Recognising the process of enabling the disease is another. You and I need to be held to two standards therefore. Confronting the disease and disabling its roots. [email protected] Living Economics, a platform of Respectonomics, provides weekly assessments of economic and financial issues. The analysis is a call to reality. Your Voice of Respectonomics, Jeremy Wentworth- Stanley, draws on more than fifty years in the investment industry, developing the creed of “making the obvious obvious before it becomes obvious”. Workshops, remote and in-person presentations are available. What are your reflections and ideas? Would you pass them back to us? And share the message please. [email protected]
