Summary
This isn’t about one bad stop or one mistaken accusation. It’s about a system that scans billions of license plates every month and treats its own data as certainty. In Colorado, we already have real examples of people being pulled over or accused of crimes because that system got it wrong. And once that happens, the burden shifts. People have to prove their innocence instead of the system proving guilt. The danger isn’t just that the system fails. It’s how often it operates—and how much power it has when it does.
