Kewanee Rotary, the Salvation Army, and First Christian Church are teaming up for another Community Day at the Pool on Saturday, July 25th. Backpack and school supply distribution begins at 11 AM, with the pool opening at noon. Organizers say last year’s event handed out 429 backpacks, and they hope to reach 500 this year. Free children’s clothing will also be available, along with information about food blessing boxes at First Christian Church. Donations are still welcome. Salvation Army’s “Stuff the Bus” event is set for Friday, July 10th, from noon to 4 PM at Walmart.
