Summary
So I thought we were building something based on trust until I found out that my girlfriend is still hanging out with the exact same guy she used to cheat on her ex with. She honestly thinks I am being insecure, but I told her that I won't just sit around and wait for history to repeat itself while she acts like a total Karen about my boundaries. It is just the most entitled thing I have ever heard for her to expect me to be cool with her grab-and-go friendship with a literal homewrecker, and she seriously figured I would just ignore the massive red flag waving right in front of my face. And then the whole thing exploded when I officially ended it and told her she can go be with him full-time if he is so important. She went into a full-blown meltdown and started crying that I am throwing away seven months over nothing, but it felt like a total win of ProRevenge for my own self-respect when I walked out the door and blocked her on everything. Watching her realize that she won't be able to keep me as the stable backup while she plays games with her old flame was the best decision I have made in a long time. She can’t believe I actually followed through with the breakup, but I’m not about to be the next guy featured in her cheating highlights. It is honestly wild how some people think they can keep their toxic past alive and well while trying to start something new with you.
