Summary
The UK heatwave rolls on… but why do we completely fall apart whenever the weather does anything remotely extreme? A bit of sunshine, a dusting of snow, and suddenly the country forgets how to function. Mark takes us back to the legendary Summer of ’76, including the time he ended up in hospital after an unfortunate encounter with a playground slide. Suzie, meanwhile, was far too young to remember it… although she did hear the story about her mum being told off by a doctor for “cooking” her in the pram! There’s also chat about England’s World Cup progress, another Donald Trump meltdown over a USA red card, and, by the end of the episode, we’re genuinely not sure what day it is.
