Summary
On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we honor Tariq Amanullah, a beloved father, community leader, and Fiduciary Trust VP who perished in the South Tower. A quiet man with a warm smile, he helped found Muslim Family Day and the 877-Why-Islam hotline. Just two days before the attacks, colleagues last saw him at Great Muslim Adventure Day. Among nearly 3,000 victims, about 60 were Muslim Americans—many of whom faced blame and rising hate crimes after the attacks. CAIR-NJ warns that anti-Muslim hate is surging again, urging us to remember, uplift, and stand against injustice in honor of all those lost.
