Summary
The Mets are making a bullpen shuffle, calling up Tobias Myers from Triple-A Syracuse and sending Jefry Yan down — a move aimed at finding reliable multi-inning arms as they navigate the rest of the season. Yan’s struggled with control lately, walking too many batters and giving up a homer in his last outing, despite showing strikeout potential. Myers, who had an uneven start to the year, is getting another shot after rebounding strongly in the minors with a stellar ERA. With the team out of playoff contention, this roster move offers both players a fresh start — Myers to prove he can dominate at the big league level again, and Yan to refine his command without the pressure of the majors.
