Summary
Praise is not just a Sunday morning ritual. It is the highest calling of every believer and, according to Psalm 103, the greatest source of joy available to us. David opens and closes the psalm with the same declaration, reminding us that praise is a posture for all of life, not just a practice for a worship setting. One of our greatest spiritual dangers is forgetting what God has done for us. Prosperity, comfort, and the busyness of life can cause us to drift from gratitude. But when we remember His benefits, including forgiveness, healing, redemption, and His unfailing love, praise rises naturally. Becoming a person of praise takes intentionality, daily reminders of who God is, and a willingness to preach truth to your own soul even when your emotions pull you elsewhere.
