Summary
In our anxiety-driven world, Psalm 131 offers a beautiful picture of spiritual rest - like a child sleeping peacefully in their parent's arms. David teaches us that true contentment comes not from constantly seeking more, but from recognizing God's goodness and accepting our human limitations. We can choose to calm and quiet ourselves, finding rest in God's presence rather than in our circumstances. When anxiety overwhelms us, we can return to our rest by remembering that God is good, we are not God, and Christ's love demonstrated through His death and resurrection proves we can trust our heavenly Father's care.
