Summary
In the demolition of Nazi Germany, the first act was a bloody, physically destructive war that lasted less than six years, resulting in ruined cities and millions dead. But the population largely persisted, and in order to make it clear that the Allies’ version of the truth would stand the political test of time, the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg tried over 20 German leaders for various political offenses such as “crimes against peace” and “conspiracy to commit aggressive war.” Tonight Thomas 777 rejoins us to delve into the specific cases of some of the most notable defendants like Rudolf Hess and Herman Göring, and how the methods developed in their prosecution are still used today against enemies of the system.
