Summary
Mark, once of NCT and SM Entertainment, drops his new solo single “My Friend” — a chill, guitar-driven track that feels like a nostalgic summer farewell. Five months after his departure, he’s fully embracing his singer-songwriter identity, pouring heart into melodies and vocals that echo his childhood love for music. After proving his solo power with Billboard-charting album The Firstfruit, Mark’s focus now is on long-term artistry and spreading positivity. The song’s creation was a journey of pressure, prayer, and lyric revisions — culminating in a deeply personal anthem for his fans, whom he calls “Mark Friends.” This is more than a comeback; it’s a confident step into his own musical future.
